Ninja has introduced the Crispi Microwave and Air Fryer, a countertop appliance that combines a 1,000-watt microwave with a 1,700-watt air fryer. Priced at $449.99, the device uses FusionCrisp technology to combine microwave heating with air frying, allowing users to cook and crisp food using a single appliance.
The product, introduced by SharkNinja on July 16, 2026, is the company’s first countertop microwave. According to the official announcement, the appliance can prepare meals up to 60% faster than a conventional oven.
FusionCrisp Technology Combines Two Cooking Methods
The Ninja Crispi Microwave uses FusionCrisp technology to automatically switch from microwave heating to air frying during cooking. The system uses superheated air reaching 450°F to produce a crisp exterior while retaining moisture inside food.
The combined cooking process is designed for foods such as pizza, chicken tenders, fries, and other dishes that can lose their texture when reheated in a conventional microwave. Ninja claims the system can take food from frozen to crispy in as little as 10 minutes.
The appliance also supports 14 cooking functions, including microwave presets for defrosting, popcorn, beverages, and frozen meals. Its air fryer settings include roasting, baking, broiling, and crisping, allowing users to prepare dishes such as pasta bakes that require both heating and browning.
Flatbed Design Provides Additional Cooking Space
Unlike conventional microwaves, the Ninja Crispi Microwave does not use a rotating turntable. Its flatbed interior provides 40% more usable cooking space than a comparable turntable microwave, according to the company.
The appliance includes a 5.5-quart CleanCrisp glass cooking dish and a nonstick crisper plate for air frying. The glassware is free from PFAS and PTFE, while the removable components are dishwasher-safe.
The design allows users to prepare multiple dishes simultaneously, including up to four bowls of leftovers. Ninja says the glass container can accommodate meals for up to 10 people.
Pricing and Dimensions
The Ninja Crispi Microwave and Air Fryer carries a regular retail price of $449.99, although the company’s website currently lists a discounted price of $349.99 for the Cyberspace model.
Measuring 20.3 inches long, 17.56 inches wide, and 14.1 inches high, the appliance requires considerable countertop space despite combining two cooking functions. Its dimensions may limit its suitability for smaller kitchens, particularly where counter space is already restricted.
The combination of microwave heating and air frying is not entirely new, with manufacturers such as Smeg previously offering multifunction appliances. Ninja’s model differs by using an automated cooking sequence that combines both heating methods rather than requiring users to operate them separately.
