Planpoint Voted North-American Leader in Multifamily Unit Visualization Software

Renters and buyers now make up their minds online, often before they ever contact a leasing office. Most multifamily projects still greet them with a PDF floor plan and an availability list that was accurate last week. Every day a unit sits empty while a prospect waits for answers, the owner loses rent they will never get back.

Planpoint Viewer has been voted the North-American leader in multifamily unit visualization software for solving exactly that problem. Its interactive floor plan viewer lets prospects shop a building the way they shop for everything else: on their own, right away, with real prices in front of them.

“Prospects don’t want to request a brochure. They want to click on a building, pick a floor, compare two units and see what each one costs today,” said Laurent Cardinal, founder of Planpoint. “When you give people that experience, they book visits sooner and sign sooner. That’s the whole point.”

The viewer embeds directly into any website, whether it runs on WordPress, Webflow or a custom build. Visitors explore a project floor by floor, check live pricing and availability, and book a visit without leaving the page. The same viewer runs on touchscreen TVs and tablets in sales centers, so a prospect who looked at a unit at home the night before sees the exact same thing on the screen in the leasing office.

It also connects to the software leasing teams already run on, including Salesforce, Spark, BuildingStack, Calendly and PayPal. New leads land directly in the CRM instead of sitting in an inbox, and availability updates itself. Pricing is monthly with no contract, based on the number of units being marketed, so a 40-unit mid-rise can afford the same tool a national portfolio uses.

That last part explains a lot of the company’s growth. Interactive unit visualization used to mean a six-figure custom build reserved for flagship towers. Planpoint turned it into a subscription, and some of North America’s largest developers and property owners now run it across entire portfolios.

“Our clients tell us the difference shows up in the numbers,” Cardinal said. “Leasing teams stop answering the same questions all day, and buildings stabilize weeks earlier than they used to. In this business, a few weeks of rent across a whole building is real money.”
