Behind the Scenes Show today announced the launch of Season 1, premiering on August 19. Hosted by Michelle Bernier, Chief of Staff at Liberty Ventures and CEO of The Right Room, the documentary style business podcast takes audiences inside well known companies to examine how organizations operate beyond the public spotlight.

A New Perspective on Business Leadership
Unlike traditional interview podcasts recorded in studio settings, Behind the Scenes Show is filmed on location inside each featured company. Every episode combines conversations with founders and executives alongside tours of business operations and discussions with employees responsible for day to day execution. This format is designed to provide viewers with a closer understanding of how leadership decisions translate into daily operations.
The series focuses on the practical aspects of building and sustaining successful organizations, including operational systems, company culture, strategic decision making, and lessons learned from challenges encountered throughout each company’s growth.
Season 1 Brings Together Recognized Business Voices
Season 1 features conversations with a diverse group of entrepreneurs, executives, and business leaders representing multiple industries.
Guests include Richard Branson, Founder of Virgin Group, Steve Forbes, Chairman and Editor in Chief of Forbes Media, Chris Voss, author of Never Split the Difference and founder of The Black Swan Group, Kelsey Grammer, actor and entrepreneur, Ben Lamm, CEO and Founder of Colossal Biosciences, Shawn Nelson, CEO of Lovesac, Hugh Forrest, former President of SXSW, Dan Cathy, former CEO of Chick fil A, Brian Schultz, CEO of LOOK Cinemas, Mark Bailey and Jonathan Seyoum of Original Pancake House, Rob Roder of Hopdoddy Burger Bar, and Erika Mandel, Co owner of Creative Blinds.
Each episode examines the decisions, operational practices, and experiences that have influenced the development of these organizations.
Looking Beyond the Public Story
The central mission of Behind the Scenes Show is to explore what it takes to build companies capable of lasting for generations. Rather than focusing solely on growth milestones or public achievements, the program examines the systems, people, and operational practices that support long term success.
By filming inside businesses instead of relying exclusively on studio interviews, the production documents how organizations function in real working environments. The series also explores moments of uncertainty, operational challenges, and lessons learned through experience.
Michelle Bernier said, “I think many people assume entrepreneurs have an idea, pitch it, find success, and live happily ever after. The reality is far more interesting. I wanted to explore the challenges guests faced, the mistakes they made, the pivotal decisions that shaped their companies, and the wisdom they gained along the way.”
A Story Built on Opportunity and Preparation
The launch also reflects Bernier’s own entrepreneurial journey. At 26 years old and after immigrating to the United States, she developed Behind the Scenes Show around the belief that business can serve as a meaningful force for innovation and opportunity.
Before releasing its first episode, the production secured interviews with internationally recognized founders and executives despite not having an established media platform. The show’s early development demonstrates how preparation, persistence, and thoughtful storytelling can create opportunities to engage respected leaders across industries.
This perspective aligns with the program’s broader editorial focus, highlighting the experiences, decisions, and operational realities that contribute to long term organizational success.
Expanding Access to Business Knowledge
Through in depth conversations and on site reporting, Behind the Scenes Show aims to contribute to a broader understanding of entrepreneurship, leadership, and business operations. The series is intended for entrepreneurs, executives, business students, operators, and anyone interested in learning how successful organizations function behind the scenes.
Season 1 launches August 19 and will be available through the show’s website and major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and additional digital channels.
