[Mexico City, Mexico, Aug 5, 2026] On August 5, SOUEAST held its first long-distance media test drive of the S08 i-DM in Mexico. More than 30 leading automotive media and KOLs took part and put the 7-Seat Urban SUV through its paces on the open road.
Under the theme of “Home Beyond Home,” the test drive route took participants from downtown Mexico City to Valle de Bravo via the Mex A-7D highway, spanning more than 260km round trip. Through real-world driving conditions, media participants conducted an in-depth evaluation of the vehicle’s energy efficiency, performance, and driving comfort. Several local automotive media professionals noted after the test drive that the S08 i-DM effectively meets the needs of Mexican families for daily commuting and weekend getaways, offering a well-balanced solution for both urban mobility and long-distance travel.
In terms of power performance and energy efficiency, the Kunpeng C-DM Hybrid System earned high praise from participating media. The intelligent switch between electric and fuel-powered driving modes maximizes efficiency across different scenarios: electric mode handles urban commuting to reduce fuel consumption, while the fuel-powered system ensures uninterrupted travel on longer and high-speed journeys.
