OpenAI has appointed Dali Rajic as chief revenue officer, replacing Denise Dresser after nine months in the role. Rajic joins from cloud security company Wiz, where he served as president and chief operating officer before Google completed its $32 billion acquisition of the company earlier this year.
OpenAI co-founder and president Greg Brockman announced the appointment on August 13. Rajic will lead OpenAI’s global revenue organization as the company puts more emphasis on enterprise adoption and commercial execution.
The leadership change follows other recent departures at OpenAI, including chief operating officer Brad Lightcap and Fidji Simo, who had served as CEO of applications and held one of the company’s most senior management roles.
OpenAI Shifts More Attention to Enterprise Growth
In its official announcement, OpenAI said Rajic will be responsible for scaling its revenue organization as businesses adopt its products more widely. Brockman said Dresser led the team through a formative period and that Rajic would focus on turning what the company has learned into more repeatable execution.
Dresser joined OpenAI as chief revenue officer in December 2025 and later outlined the company’s enterprise strategy, including wider deployment of agents across organizations. Her tenure coincided with rapid growth in OpenAI’s business customer base.
OpenAI now says its models reach more than one billion active users and more than two million businesses. Earlier in 2026, it reported more than 900 million weekly active ChatGPT users, showing how quickly usage has continued to grow.
Rajic Joins During a Broader Management Reshuffle
Rajic previously held senior sales and operating roles at companies including Zscaler and AppDynamics before joining Wiz. His arrival gives OpenAI another executive with experience scaling enterprise software businesses as the company competes for large corporate AI deployments.
The appointment also comes during a broader management transition. Brockman has taken on a larger operational role following recent executive departures, while OpenAI has been directing more attention toward products such as ChatGPT Enterprise, its developer platform, and Frontier, its system for deploying and managing AI agents inside companies.
OpenAI has also continued raising large amounts of capital to support its expansion. In March, the company announced $122 billion in committed funding at an $852 billion post-money valuation.
The company has not said how Dresser’s responsibilities will be divided following her replacement or whether she will remain with OpenAI in another position.
