ElevenLabs has released a new iOS app called ElevenMusic, marking its entry into AI-generated music and positioning the company beyond its core voice technology offerings.
The app allows users to create and discover AI-generated songs, placing ElevenLabs in competition with platforms like Suno and Udio.
Music Creation And Discovery Features
ElevenMusic enables users to generate songs using natural language prompts, with a free tier allowing up to seven tracks per day. Users can customize elements such as song length, lyrics, and writing style.
The app also supports remixing, where users can modify songs created by others using text prompts, with remixes counting toward the daily generation limit.
In addition to creation tools, the app includes discovery features such as live stations, curated albums, and mood-based playlists like Focus, Energy, Relax, Late Night, Cosmic, and Chill.
Streaming Style Interface And User Experience
ElevenMusic incorporates familiar elements from music streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music, including sections for top charts, trending tracks, and new releases.
The app was listed on the App Store for several weeks before its official release on April 1.
Subscription Tier And Usage Limits
A paid Pro tier is available for $9.99 per month or $95.90 per year. Subscribers can generate up to 500 tracks per month, access expanded styles and moods, and receive more than 500 GB of storage.
Broader Strategy Around Creative AI Tools
The launch reflects ElevenLabs’ broader strategy to expand into creative AI applications beyond voice models. The company has been developing tools for music generation, ad creation, translation, video production, and sound design.
Earlier, ElevenLabs released its first music-generation model and collaborated with music producers on an AI-assisted album.
The company raised a $500 million Series C round in February, reaching a valuation of $11 billion.
Platform Growth And Creator Incentives
ElevenLabs has also introduced programs aimed at attracting creators, including a royalty initiative for authors on its ElevenReader platform.
The company is expanding its consumer-focused efforts and may introduce similar incentives to encourage music creation within ElevenMusic as it builds out its ecosystem.
