AML Watcher today announce that its AML screening and risk intelligence platform is already equipped to support compliance teams preparing for the EU’s evolving AMLD7 expectations.

As the EU moves toward a more unified AML framework, compliance teams are expected to face stronger requirements around sanctions screening, beneficial ownership visibility, high risk customer due diligence, crypto oversight, adverse media monitoring, and clearer evidence behind compliance decisions.

The AMLR is set to apply across the EU from 10 July 2027, while AMLA is expected to begin direct supervision of up to 40 high risk financial institutions or groups from 2028.

AML Watcher supports this shift through global sanctions, PEP, watchlist, adverse media, and entity risk intelligence in one platform. With continuous data updates and smarter screening workflows,it helps compliance teams strengthen risk coverage, monitor changes over time, and maintain clearer records for review.

“AMLD7 is not just another regulatory deadline. It is a signal that AML controls need to become more visible, more current, and more defensible,” said Khurram Akhtar, Founder of AML Watcher. “

Compliance teams can no longer rely on static checks or scattered data. AML Watcher is built to help teams screen smarter, monitor continuously, and prepare before regulatory change becomes operational pressure.

With AML expectations moving toward greater consistency and accountability, AML Watcher continues to help regulated businesses stay prepared for the next phase of AML compliance.
