Passionfroot has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round led by Insight Partners to expand its marketplace connecting business-to-business creators with brands. The Berlin-based company will use the capital to grow in the United States, open an office in São Paulo and develop its AI campaign tools.
Existing investors Creandum, Supernode Global and s16vc also participated. The round brings Passionfroot’s total funding to more than $21 million, according to the company’s official funding announcement.
US and Brazil Expansion Planned
Co-founder and Chief Executive Jen Phan will relocate to New York to lead the company’s US expansion. Product and engineering operations will remain in Berlin, while the new São Paulo office will focus on customer support and engineering.
Passionfroot currently employs 15 people and plans to hire across all three locations. The company said revenue increased 13-fold over the past year while it remained profitable.
Its customers include ElevenLabs, Figma, Replit, Framer and Gamma. Passionfroot said it works with more than 150 B2B brands and creators across areas including AI, software, developer tools, financial services and design.
Zest Manages Creator Campaigns
Passionfroot’s AI agent, Zest, helps brands plan and manage creator campaigns from the initial brief through creator selection, execution and payment. It can also identify creators outside Passionfroot’s existing network when their audiences match a brand’s campaign goals.
The agent uses a proprietary Creator Graph containing pricing, reach and performance data gathered from thousands of campaigns. Passionfroot Wallet manages international payments and gives companies a consolidated view of their spending on creators.
Passionfroot said it has paid at least $10 million to creators over the past 18 months. The company is also developing tools to measure whether creator campaigns affect brand citations and visibility in AI-generated answers.
AI Companies Increase Creator Spending
Rebecca Liu-Doyle, managing director at Insight Partners, said AI companies increasingly need creators who can explain technical products and build recognition among business buyers. She added that specialists with established audiences can provide the market knowledge required for B2B content.
Phan said AI has made software development faster, resulting in more products competing for attention. She said buyers increasingly use LinkedIn, newsletters, podcasts and YouTube creators to find and assess business tools.
Passionfroot also plans to develop AI features for creators, including content suggestions and guidance on monetisation. The funding follows its $3.8 million seed round in 2024, which supported the company’s earlier expansion into AI-assisted creator marketing.
