Leading Solvents, established in 1986 as a chemical supplier and manufacturer, operates multiple sites across the UK and has completed a major upgrade of its laboratory facility at its Nottingham site. New upgrades include installing state-of-the-art equipment dedicated to research and development, allowing the company to continue providing a top-level service while encouraging further innovation within the industry.

The upgrade is part of Leading Solvent’s long-term investment plan across the company’s York, Doncaster and Nottingham sites. The new & improved lab significantly expands the company’s capacity for new product development, formulation refinement and quality testing, strengthening its position as a full-service partner from R&D through blending, packaging and export.

The Nottingham laboratory is the development home of the company’s car detailing & janitorial brands, Car-Chem & Valet-Chem. The upgrade will accelerate innovation across both of these ranges and the company’s B2B portfolio, which serves the automotive detailing, manufacturing, janitorial and cleaning sectors.

For white label and private label customers, the enhanced facility means faster development cycles and more sophisticated formulation capabilities. It also supports the company’s in-house regulatory services, including SDS authoring and compliance. The upgrade is seen as the next step in the company’s development and signifies its commitment to pushing boundaries wherever possible.
