FloPay has opened applications for its launch partner program, giving early access to a payment orchestration platform designed to solve problems most merchants have learned to tolerate. Gateway lock-in. Failed recurring charges that never get recovered. Checkout flows that require stitching together three different providers. The platform consolidates all of it into one SDK.

“FloPay exists to keep revenue flowing,” the company states. “Payments should not fail because a business is locked into one provider, one checkout flow, or one outdated way of processing.”
The core product addresses immediate pain points for digital merchants. One embedded checkout SDK handles Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and alternative payment methods like Klarna, Cash App Pay, and Link. A PCI-compliant card vault stores payment credentials independently from any single processor, which means merchants own the customer relationship rather than renting it from Stripe or whoever else currently holds the card data.
That vault independence matters more than most merchants realize until they try to switch providers. Moving a subscription business from one gateway to another traditionally means asking every customer to re-enter payment information – a process that bleeds subscribers at every step. FloPay‘s vault-backed saved payment methods make the cards portable. Switch processors without losing the credentials.
Subscription billing runs natively through the platform. Free trials, promotional pricing, coupon codes, and the catalog management that subscription businesses require all come built in. The checkout handles $0 initial charges for trial starts without the workarounds other systems demand.
Future releases will add smart dunning for failed payment recovery – automated retry logic that recovers charges that would otherwise churn silently – and multi-gateway routing that sends transactions to whichever processor offers the best authorization rates at that moment. The infrastructure exists; the features are coming.
But the longer-term vision goes beyond fixing what currently frustrates merchants. FloPay is building payment rails for a commerce environment that doesn’t fully exist yet: one where AI agents execute transactions without human intervention.
“We are building FloPay for today’s merchants and tomorrow’s agent-led commerce – one SDK, one vault, and one orchestration layer that makes payments simpler, smarter, and more resilient,” the company explains.

The mission page states the purpose directly: “To power the autonomous economy.” The pitch is that legacy payment gateways were built for humans clicking buttons on screens. Pop-ups, redirects, manual 3D Secure challenges – all of it assumes a person is present to navigate friction. Autonomous AI agents operating at machine speed cannot handle those interruptions. They need payment infrastructure that processes transactions without requiring someone to click through a modal.
FloPay calls this the machine-to-machine orchestration layer. Whether a human taps a checkout button or an AI agent executes a payment via API, the transaction flows through the same infrastructure. The company plans to ship MCP server support for agentic payment flows, giving AI systems native access to payment processing.
“The future of payments is not just about accepting cards,” the company states. “It is about owning the payment relationship, routing intelligently, recovering revenue automatically, and giving both humans and agents a frictionless way to transact.”
The launch partner program targets merchants, investors, and partners willing to adopt early in exchange for influence over the product roadmap. Digital businesses selling SaaS subscriptions, online courses, digital products, and similar offerings represent the initial focus. These merchants feel gateway lock-in acutely, rely heavily on recurring revenue that fails silently when cards decline, and increasingly serve customers who expect checkout options beyond basic card entry.
Documentation is live at docs.flopay.com. A demo playground at demo.flopay.com lets prospective partners test the embedded checkout before committing. The SDK ships as @flopay/js with changelogs tracking both backend and frontend updates.
Current capabilities include embedded checkout, Stripe processing, PayPal Direct gateway support, alternative payment methods, the independent card vault, subscription checkout with trial and promotional pricing support, product catalog management, payment and invoice reporting, and webhook-driven event handling. The roadmap adds smart dunning, payment recovery automation, and the agentic payment infrastructure the company sees as the market’s next phase.
Applications for the launch partner program go through hello@flopay.com. The company is accepting partners now while the platform remains in early access, before general availability opens the product to the broader merchant market. Early partners shape the roadmap and lock in positioning before the rails finish building.
