European Technology Network has raised $1.6 million in seed funding as it expands its technology livestream from two days to five days per week. The London-based media company has also secured a larger studio near King’s Cross, plans to grow its eight-person team and is preparing to launch a newsletter.
Luke Knight and Ronan Chambers founded ETN in October 2025 to cover technology, artificial intelligence and venture capital from a European perspective. Its livestreams on X and YouTube have generated more than five million views.
Media and Technology Investors Back ETN
Powerhouse Capital and Axel Springer participated in the round. Axel Springer owns publications including Business Insider and Politico.
Other investors include a co-founder of LADbible and angel investors connected to OpenAI and Google DeepMind. ETN previously raised £150,000 before securing the latest investment.
The funding will support new production facilities, additional staff and more frequent programming. ETN began its five-day schedule on July 27, replacing the Tuesday and Thursday format it had used since launch.
Daily Show Will Feature News and Interviews
The expanded programme will cover major technology stories before moving into interviews with founders, investors and policymakers. ETN also plans to introduce debates, roundtable discussions and a pitching segment inspired by television investment shows.
Scheduled guests include Sequoia Capital partner George Robson and former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who has advisory roles with Anthropic and Microsoft. Earlier guests have included executives and founders from Synthesia, Legora and Granola, as well as UK AI Minister Kanishka Narayan.
Knight and Chambers said the show now receives about 70 guest pitches each week. The earlier schedule sometimes required them to fit as many as 12 interviews into two hours.
ETN Targets Europe’s Growing Technology Sector
ETN presents itself as a European counterpart to TBPN, the US technology show created by John Coogan and Jordi Hays. Like TBPN, ETN offers founders a friendly setting to discuss funding, hiring and product announcements.
The company earns revenue from advertising and sponsorships. Its sponsors have included ElevenLabs, Polymarket, Base, Airwallex and other technology companies.
Although ETN operates from London, the founders intend to feature companies and investors from across Europe. The team has already broadcast from technology events in Athens and Paris and plans to continue covering regional conferences.
Knight and Chambers said ETN is not intended to replace traditional technology journalism. Instead, they want the network to provide a live discussion platform that can respond quickly to developments across Europe’s startup and AI sectors.
