Oviond has released a Model Context Protocol server that lets marketing agencies manage client reporting workflows from AI tools rather than working exclusively inside the Oviond platform. The update connects the reporting software to Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and other MCP-compatible clients.

“Agency reporting software has traditionally forced teams to do everything inside the platform,” said Chris Irwin, co-founder of Oviond. “We built Oviond’s MCP server so agencies can bring reporting workflows into the AI tools they already use, without turning the core product into a bloated AI interface.”
Model Context Protocol gives AI applications a structured way to interact with external software. For agencies running Oviond, that means creating clients, organizing projects, building reports, adding pages and widgets, applying templates, and managing repeatable reporting workflows – all through conversational AI tools rather than clicking through menus.
The MCP server does not replace the existing Oviond interface. Account managers and team members who prefer the standard dashboard continue using it exactly as before. The protocol adds a parallel path for operators and agency owners who already spend their days working inside AI assistants and want reporting tasks to happen there too.
“The goal is not to replace the Oviond interface,” Irwin said. “It is to give agencies a practical second way to work – through Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and other MCP-compatible clients – while keeping reporting simple for the rest of the team.”
Oviond built its reporting software specifically for small and medium-sized marketing agencies. The platform connects more than 60 data sources spanning analytics, advertising, search, social media, email, CRM, and ecommerce. Agencies use it to build branded dashboards, generate client reports, schedule automated delivery, and white-label the entire reporting experience under their own branding.
The MCP release extends that infrastructure into AI-native workflows without complicating what already works. Agencies can set up new client accounts through Claude, populate them with the right data connections, generate templated reports, and schedule distribution – all within conversations that feel more like delegation than software operation.
“Reporting should feel invisible, dependable and done,” Irwin said. “MCP gives AI-forward agencies a way to move faster while Oviond remains the reliable reporting layer underneath.”

The Oviond team positions the approach as “simple UI for your team, API and MCP for your AI workflows.” That split acknowledges how agencies actually operate. Some team members want visual interfaces they can navigate without technical knowledge. Others want to issue instructions in plain language and have software figure out the execution. Both now work against the same reporting infrastructure.
Marketing agencies adopting AI tools for client work have struggled to connect those tools to the platforms holding client data. MCP provides a standardized bridge. Rather than building custom integrations for every AI application, Oviond’s single MCP server works with any compatible client – current or future – reducing the integration burden as the AI tool landscape keeps shifting.
The MCP server is available now. Documentation covering setup, available commands, and workflow examples lives at docs.oviond.com/mcp/overview.
