Encore AI has raised $30 million in Series A funding to expand a platform that studies customer conversations and turns successful employee behaviour into playbooks for AI agents. The startup’s agents can assist sales and support staff or communicate with customers autonomously through voice and text.
Team8 led the round, with participation from Planven, The Garage, Lukatz and several banks and insurers. Some financial institutions invested after first using Encore’s platform as customers, according to the company.
Insait IO Rebrands as Encore AI
Chief Executive Dvir Ginzburg founded the company in 2022 under the name Insait IO. Its original product provided recommendations to financial advisers and relationship managers before the business expanded into automated customer interaction software.
The company rebranded as Encore AI alongside the latest funding announcement. It now positions its technology as a way to increase revenue from conversations rather than only reduce customer-service costs.
Encore has more than 40 enterprise customers worldwide, most of them financial institutions. Its annual recurring revenue has increased more than fivefold since its previous funding round less than 18 months ago, although the company did not disclose its revenue or valuation.
Interaction Mining Identifies Effective Tactics
Encore calls its training process Interaction Mining. The platform collects call recordings, emails, text messages and CRM information before dividing customer journeys into stages and analysing which actions helped produce successful outcomes.
The resulting playbooks can include effective explanations, responses, examples and conversational styles used by a company’s strongest employees. Encore then combines those behaviours into AI agents designed for specific sales, service, collection or customer-success workflows.
The company says its agents can operate across voice, chat, SMS, WhatsApp, interactive voice response systems and digital forms. They can also work alongside employees by suggesting responses and tactics during live conversations.
Platform Targets Regulated Industries
Encore’s early customer base is concentrated in financial services, where sales and support interactions often involve complex products, compliance requirements and lengthy customer journeys. The company says its platform can identify gaps, friction points and inconsistencies across these processes.
Large CRM providers including Salesforce, SAP, Zoho and HubSpot are also adding AI agents to their platforms. Encore argues that its advantage comes from treating historical conversations as the primary source for training agents rather than relying mainly on customer records and general-purpose models.
The startup plans to use the funding to expand its US sales operation and deploy its platform with more banks, insurers and other large enterprises. Team8 describes Encore as a customer interaction platform that identifies revenue gaps and deploys agents modelled on an organisation’s top performers.
