BranchPoint Asset Management Launches BranchPoint ML Income Fund

Aug 8, 2026

BranchPoint Asset Management today announced the launch of the BranchPoint ML Income Fund, a private investment fund that applies machine learning to help identify changing market conditions and actively adjust portfolio positioning over time.

The fund was developed to address a challenge many retirees and pre-retirees face: how to pursue consistent investment income without relying solely on rising markets.

Rather than remaining fully invested throughout all market environments, the BranchPoint ML Income Fund uses a systematic investment process designed to adapt across bull, bear, and flat markets. The strategy combines machine learning analysis with human oversight to support disciplined, data-driven investment decisions.

“Many investors ask the same questions,” said Eric Seto, CPA, CIM, President of BranchPoint Asset Management and Chief Investment Officer. “What happens during the next major market decline? How can retirement income continue when markets are flat or falling? We built BranchPoint to address those concerns through a disciplined, systematic investment process that evolves alongside market conditions.”

Unlike traditional rule-based strategies that rely on fixed investment rules, the BranchPoint investment process retrains its machine learning model weekly using current market data. The objective is to identify the market environment with the highest historical probability of occurrence and position the portfolio accordingly.

“Machine learning gives us an additional lens through which to analyze market conditions,” Seto added. “Technology does not replace investment judgment – it enhances it by helping us process more information than would otherwise be practical.”

The fund’s leadership brings together experience across portfolio management, financial due diligence, fund operations, and regulatory compliance.

The launch is further supported by a $500,000 commitment from Eric Seto Research Ltd., reflecting confidence in the investment strategy and long-term alignment of interests with fund investors.

“Our objective is to build an investment strategy that adapts as markets change, while helping investors pursue consistent, long-term outcomes.”

Additional information regarding eligibility, associated risks, and offering materials is available through the fund’s official investor package.
