PNI Sensor, a global leader in high-performance magnetic sensing and orientation technologies, today announced that its NaviGuider orientation and navigation system was selected as a finalist for the DIRA Technology Award 2026, one of the Danish robotics industry’s most prestigious innovation awards.

Presented during DIRA Business & Robotbrag 2026 in Odense, Denmark, the annual event brings together leading robotics manufacturers, automation companies, system integrators, researchers, and technology developers from across Europe. Organized by Dansk Robot Netværk (DIRA), the event serves as a premier showcase for emerging technologies that are advancing the future of robotics and industrial automation.
The DIRA Technology Award recognizes innovative products that demonstrate technological advancement, commercial readiness, and meaningful contributions to the robotics and automation industry. Finalists are selected based on their innovation, practical application, and ability to inspire future technological development.
PNI Sensor’s NaviGuider was recognized for delivering highly accurate orientation and navigation in a compact, integrated solution designed for autonomous systems operating in demanding environments. By combining PNI Sensor’s industry-leading magnetic sensing technology with advanced sensor fusion algorithms, NaviGuider provides reliable heading and orientation information for applications including:
- Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs)
- Automated guided vehicles (AGVs)
- Industrial robotics
- Unmanned aerial systems (UAS)
- Autonomous marine platforms
- Precision automation systems
“NaviGuider was designed to provide reliable, high-precision orientation in applications where consistent heading performance is essential,” said Becky Oh, President & CEO of PNI Sensor. “Being recognized as a finalist for the DIRA Technology Award is an honor and reflects the innovation our engineering team has delivered. We are especially pleased to strengthen our presence within the European robotics community through this recognition.”
PNI Sensor was represented at the event by its Danish distribution partner, ACTE A/S, which demonstrated NaviGuider throughout the exhibition and engaged with robotics manufacturers, automation integrators, and industrial customers from across the Nordic region. ACTE A/S showcased the system’s capabilities and discussed how NaviGuider can be integrated into next-generation autonomous platforms requiring precise, dependable orientation.
The finalist recognition highlights NaviGuider as a commercially available solution that meets the growing demand for robust navigation and orientation technologies within Europe’s expanding robotics and automation market. As autonomous systems continue to proliferate across industrial, commercial, and defense applications, accurate heading and positioning remain critical enabling technologies.
PNI Sensor and ACTE A/S will continue collaborating to expand adoption of NaviGuider throughout Europe while supporting customers with advanced sensing solutions that improve autonomy, reliability, and operational performance.
