Amazon Introduces Podcasts For Its Clients

ByMike Paul

Jan 9, 2021

If controlling every aspect of online shopping wasn’t enough, Amazon has recently bought two huge podcast companies that used to produce podcasts that got made into TV series.

After the music giant Spotify started its podcast series with hosts such as Prince Harry and Megan Markle, Amazon started expanding its wings.

After dominating music, online shopping, delivery, almost stopping as a platform that provides you with TV series and movies, Amazon is coming and wanting to take over every aspect where humans spend money.

New Area

If you are an avid listener of the podcast on whatever platform – maybe Apple Music, Spotify, or you just watch the recorded videos of podcasts on YouTube— you are pretty much already aware of what the basic idea of a podcast is.

If you are not, it is an hour-long recording of a person, two people, or even a group of people just speaking about whatever topic that comes into their mind. It is usually produced by a company or by the managers of the people speaking in the podcast, and then it is uploaded to a bigger platform where anyone can hear it at any point in time.

With the recent growth of the number of listeners of podcasts on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, it is no surprise that even Amazon wants to get its fair share in the same industry. That could be one of the reasons why Amazon has bought such big companies that no one even thought of approaching.

Comes Under

As you might have already figured it out, podcasts that are being released or brought over from the two companies that Amazon has bought will be available to hear on other platforms as they were before, along with being available on Amazon Music.

Therefore, it is safe to say that all the podcasts that Amazon will be releasing or getting the rights to will be uploaded on Amazon Music, but there is no say in which region it will be available or not. For that, further research is being done, and you will be updated accordingly.

If you are a fan of Amazon and its several branches and have been using the app for multiple things – it’s no surprise that you will also enjoy this new feature that Amazon is running up with. Now you can truly have every single thing that can keep you entertained under one platform.

Amazon already provided many of its loyal customers and clients: the newest movies, TV series, some of them being official to a particular area. It also came with audiobooks that you could listen to at any point in time and not have to pay that much money for. The company came up with Kindle – probably the greatest creation for every book reader out there, and now it has stepped its foot further into the music industry.

Sum up

Amazon Music already existed – where you could buy and download any piece of song or music that you would like to play on Alexa or any other speaker if you wanted to, but now, it’s advanced. Now it’s not just music that you will be listening to. It’s also podcasts.
