Kerno has successfully raised €1.69 million in a seed investment round with Elkstone Ventures taking the lead. Established in 2022 by a team of five including Sean Madigan and Karim Traiaia, Kerno is gearing up to improve its innovative problem-solving technology. The funding is earmarked for expanding its reach to 100,000 cloud-native developers and growing its team from 11 to 20 over the next two years.
Currently in the pilot phase, Kerno offers a streamlined solution for cloud applications, focusing on ease of installation and minimizing performance disruption. Its platform is designed to efficiently identify and address cloud application issues, aiding in the identification, impact assessment, cause analysis, and team allocation for problems, thereby reducing the time cloud-native developers spend on production issues.
Sean Madigan, Kerno’s CEO, emphasizes the need for more efficient, less burdensome solutions in the increasingly complex cloud application landscape. With this funding, Kerno plans to bolster its engineering team and expand its reach to millions of developers worldwide, promoting a true cloud-native experience. Niall McEvoy of Elkstone Ventures praised Kerno’s unique approach and potential to transform troubleshooting in cloud applications.
