Backed by prominent figures in the digital space, including investor Kevin O’Leary and World Wide Web inventor Tim Berners-Lee, the bid highlights a growing concern over user data privacy and security. The impending ban poses significant economic implications, threatening to cost U.S. small businesses and social media creators an estimated $1.3 billion in revenue and earnings within a month of enforcement.
