  • Reduced Latency and Operational Costs: The Atom chip reported latency figures that were half those of NVIDIA’s A2 GPU, coupled with significantly lower cooling requirements. This translates to reduced operational costs and lower energy consumption, offering a compelling value proposition for businesses and data centers.
  • Support for Language Models: Atom stands out as the first domestically developed, mass-produced chip in South Korea designed to support language models. KT is poised to be the inaugural customer for the Atom NPU post-mass production, signaling the telecom industry’s growing interest in the AI chip ecosystem. Furthermore, Rebellions’ collaboration with Samsung on the development of Rebel, a next-generation NPU aimed at powering large language models, underscores the strategic importance of semiconductor innovation in securing a competitive edge in the global market.

As Rebellions sets its sights on the global stage, the company’s ambitions are not merely limited to challenging NVIDIA’s dominance in the AI chip market. Park Sung-hyun envisions a future where Rebellions captures a significant market share in inference chips, a critical component for powering large language models and other AI applications.
