The year 2019 has not been easy for any of us. This pandemic has been hitting everyone up quite hard for almost more than a year. It has been very difficult for people both mentally and physically. Not every one of us can handle the kind of mental pressure built up in the entire world due to this pandemic. We are all stuck inside our houses in this lockdown, and the situation is getting worse and worse almost every day. People are losing their near and dear ones and seeing them getting infected in front of their eyes.

When it all started, the past year is popping right in front of our eyes, and the visions are crystal clear. Social media has been acting as the right tool where pictures and news articles constantly remind us of everything we lost. This global pandemic has made people suffer and go through a lot of distress.

Grief and tension have taken over the world as people are staying in isolation. They are depressed while mourning over the loss that they have been through in the past month. When this pandemic initially started, people were not prepared to face something so unexpected and destructing. There are pictures of the dead on social media. The media have constantly shared the rising cases of COVID-19 and the countries it has been affecting.

It is not just the pandemic that has endangered the lives of billions of people on earth. There have been other add-ons to this pandemic acting as a catalyst for human downfall. The world being in a complete lockdown, there has been the loss of jobs and becoming unemployed every second. With their jobs gone, it has made the lives of people more difficult than it already was. News channels and newspapers covered the news of people getting affected and dead and major poverty.

The economy of the world has certainly faced a serious crisis amidst this pandemic. People have recorded every bit of this news and captured it in their photographic memory. This crisis could not be averted easily or could be ignored. The news of the rising pandemic cases and the causes of poverty deaths have been overwhelming for the people sitting at home watching the news. These memories are not something you would want to remember. They are our most unpleasant and scariest memories one could ever have.

If we closely follow the news, this global pandemic has only taken away things from people. It has had the most negative effects on mankind to this date. The news on poverty, unemployment, depression, suicide, and most definitely COVID-19 have become the only part of our lives. We cannot possibly ignore them no matter how much we try. You can mute your news notifications, unsubscribe to new channels, stop taking your newspapers- but nothing would stop this haunting of the COVID-19 memories. Since this pandemic continues to haunt us, all those traumatic memories and experiences coming rushing our minds take us back to the time where everything had first begun.
