Google has introduced the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL with a larger focus on AI agents that can complete tasks across apps, alongside new camera tools and the Tensor G6 processor. The phones keep a design similar to the previous generation, while Gemini gains tools for bookings, transcription, translation, and contextual assistance.
In its official Pixel 11 announcement, Google said the Tensor G6 runs its latest Gemini Nano model and brings 50% more TPU compute than Tensor G5. Google says on-device AI tasks can run up to 3.5 times faster while using up to 3.5 times less energy.
Gemini Takes on More Tasks
Gemini on Pixel can perform multi-step tasks across more than 40 apps, including ordering food, arranging rides, and handling other requests. Google is also adding connected services including Granola, Otter.ai, Wix, Fever, GetYourGuide, Localiza, OpenTable in the UK, Ticketmaster, iHeartRadio, Pandora, Angi, Thumbtack, and Zocdoc over the coming weeks.
Rambler, Google’s Gemini-powered voice input feature, converts natural speech into cleaner text while removing filler words such as “um” and “ah.” Pixel 11 also adds sign-to-text functionality in Gboard using Google DeepMind’s Sign Language-to-Text model, while contextual cards can surface information such as upcoming travel details inside relevant apps.
Live translation can work across videos, podcasts, and voice messages. Google has also brought Circle to Search into the Pixel Camera, allowing users to search for objects directly from the camera interface.
Camera System Gets New AI Tools
Magic Capture records frames around a moment and selects suitable still images from them, with processing to crop and reduce blur. Google has also added customizable Camera Looks and Creator Suite, which includes tools intended to help users record and organize video content.
The Pixel 11 supports up to 30x Super Zoom, while Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL increase maximum Pro Zoom to 120x. Night Sight can capture images up to 4.5 times faster on the Pro models, according to Google.
Tensor G6 also delivers 25% faster web browsing and 15% faster app launches compared with Tensor G5, based on Google’s internal testing. The Pro models add HiLight, an LED system around the camera flash that can indicate when Gemini is listening or processing and display customized notifications for selected contacts.
All three phones start with 256GB of storage. Pixel 11 starts at $899, Pixel 11 Pro at $1,099, and Pixel 11 Pro XL at $1,299, with retail availability beginning August 20.
Google is also releasing new Pixelsnap accessories, including clear cases and additional Ring Stand colors.
